The key to the new design is the innovative seat and backrest support member in glass filled nylon, which fits flush to a tubular steel frame. As well as delivering elegance the design allows 10-15º of seat and back deflection, and unprecedented levels of comfort.

The construction offers exceptional load bearing capacity. In development the chair was tested by FIRA. during which it not only met the requirements, but far exceeded them. According to Daniel Hunter, Seating Section Head at FIRA “This is a truly innovative product. During testing to BS 4875 Level 5 the chair withstood a load well in excess of 3000N which is nothing less than amazing.”
